Currently, the Hamé Company is launching an entirely new type of ketchup in the Czech and Slovak markets following the BIO labelled products introduced at the beginning of January this year.
Bio Ketchup supplied in the market by Hamé under the premium brand OTMA is also suitable as prevention against cancer. According to a report in the New Scientist magazine, the ketchup made of bio tomatoes, compared with ordinary tomatoes, contains four times more lykopene - a substance that helps to fight
cancer. With an excellent taste, BIO OTMA Ketchup will satisfy lovers of natural flavours as well as supporters of a healthy life style.
During the manufacture of its BIO products Hamé, a.s. observes strict rules of ecological foodstuff production, which guarantees that input materials originate from approved ecological agriculture, where no artificial fertilisers, pesticides or genetically modified organisms (GMO) are used. BIO OTMA Ketchup is strictly checked in compliance with current demanding standards of the European Union and does not contain chemical preservatives or colouring.
The actual input materials are imported and carefully selected for the Hamé production plant from all over the world. The strict production regime is documented by a number of certificates which Hamé holds for its production plants. The company can boast several quality assurance certificates. Hamé already has certification for EU, HACCP as well as BIO certificate and many others, required particularly in Russian speaking countries. An interesting line is also the production of Kosher and
Pesah products, which have to meet strict criteria required by the Jewish religion. These days Hamé is preparing the certification of the International Food Standard (IFS). Its importance for the company lies predominantly in the fact that observance of these standards is required by retail chains in many countries of the world, because they are a guarantee of foodstuffs with a clean bill of health.
